Notes: This Chinese M44 Carbine is in "Surplus-Fair" condition, showing much of the expected signs of use, and many scuffs on the wood and finish, as well as a very dark bore with minor signs of corrosion. This rifle is an example of the upgraded carbine version of the military rifle of the Russian Empire, and Soviet Union: The Mosin Nagant. The M44 features a shorter barrel than the 1893, and the "spiker" style bayonet is permanently affixed to the barrel via a hinge. This Rifle was made in 1954, and almost all serial numbers are matching, with the exemption being the magazine baseplate. We have not test fired this rifle, but all fire functions are normal per a physical inspection.
