Notes: This German Spandau GEW 88 is in "surplus good" condition, showing slight wear, but heavy marking on the wood furniture. This Rifle was adopted by the German Empire in 1888, and served until nearly the turn of the 20th century! This rifle was built in 1890 The finish of the steel components is in good shape, showing some finish wear. This would make an excellent surplus rifle for a new collector, and a new aquisition for seasoned collectors as well. We have not test fired this firearm, but all fire functions are normal per a physical inspection.
